Meet Peta

Peta has been working with new mums and dads for over 22 years in post-natal care. She is a qualified lactation consultant and has extensive clinical child health experience. With over 43 years of nursing experience and having raised 4 children, she brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding to assist families in some of their most vulnerable and difficult moments. Peta has much experience in assisting new mums and dads in understanding their babies instinctive behaviours and how the mother’s body responds. She has a strong passion in providing families with individual choice, and encourages families to make the best decisions that feel right for them.

Based in the Northern Suburbs of Brisbane in Queensland.

Established by Peta Nelson, Kindness Matters aims to help mums and dads with breastfeeding, baby care and sleep and settling.
